Why there is a lack of understanding the KDE4 Release Schedule?

With every new KDE4 release (current KDE 4.1 alpha1), there will be a lot of controversy at news pages here in germany about the Release Schedule. I think in other countries it's the same. A lot of peoples doesn't understand that KDE 4.0 is an important release and KDE goes the right way. KDE 4.0 is not designed for endusers, but it is a kool base for beginn to port KDE3 applications to KDE4 or build new KDE4 applications.

That's allways known but what are the effects of this Schedule? What is done since the KDE 4.0 release in january until now?

Notebook and no Windows license? A chance for Kubuntu!

Today a co-worker called me. He has bought a new notebook and he has only a blinking Screen. It's time for troubleshooting.

1. boot sequence: all right but it's still blinking.
2. What appears on the CD cover? Driver and Utility CD.
